🎁 Holiday Market Collective: With more than 155 artisans, including 35% new and budding artists, there’s something for everyone at this seasonal favourite local market. Dec 6-8 and Dec 13-15 at the BMO Centre.

🎄 StoryBook Theatre’s One Christmas Carol: This family-friendly holiday classic is back and screen performer Natascha Girgis returns as the show’s narrator. Dec 8-23 at the Beddington Theatre Arts Centre.

🎅 Studio Bell After Hours: Sleigh the Night Away with Drag Superstar Tynomi Banks, Joanna Magik, and DJ Pump in this yuletide celebration with lights dimmed, beats turned up, and a ho-ho-whole lot of holiday cheer. Dec 14 at Studio Bell.

January is just around the corner

🤣 Comedian Adam Tiller: Based out of Seattle, this standup comedian who was a Seattle International Comedy Competition semi-finalist is bringing his act to Calgary. Jan 6-11 at The Comedy Cave.

🪲 Beetlejuice: Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. Jan 7-12 at the Jubilee.

👨‍🎤 High Performance Rodeo: Once a punk rebel upstart troupe of creatives, ticket sales for this staple January theatre renaissance event are officially available. It’s never too early to start planning! Jan 14-Feb 2 at various locations.

The New York Times calls this nine-time Tony award-winning production “the best musical of this century” and The Washington Post says, “it is the kind of evening that restores your faith in musicals.”

Friday to Sunday | Saskatoon Farm | Check daily hours

Watch Saskatoon Farm transform into a winter wonderland as the joy of the season takes over the market with local vendors and Christmas cheer.

Saturday | Grey Eagle Event Centre | 8pm

Comedian Colin Mochrie and hypnotist Asad Mecci come together for a quirky combination of comedy under hypnosis that makes for a night filled with laughter and unexpected twists and surprises.

Trivia night is free at this downtown pub so grab some friends and test your knowledge while enjoying drinks and grub.

Winter Parka Sale at BMO Centre | Wednesday to Friday | Check daily times

A Christmas Carol | Friday to Dec 29 | Various times

The classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge who is visited by three spirits who take him on a journey into his past, present, and future to show him the errors of his ways. Dickens’ classic holiday tale comes alive on the Theatre Calgary stage.

Inglewood Holiday Night Market | Friday and Saturday | 4-9pm

A modern market with locally sourced and handmade vendors selling diverse goods; from handmade crafts to vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles, artisan eats, and more.

Spruce Meadows International Christmas Market | Friday to Sunday | Check daily times

Shop 'til you drop at The Mom Market this Black Friday Weekend for amazing and talented local businesses in a curated market with no entry fee.

The Mom Market Black Friday at BMO Centre | Friday to Sunday | 7-9pm and 10am-4pm

Canada’s violin superstar James Ehnes performs Brahms’ rhapsodic beauty and boisterous verve of Violin Concerto in D Major with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

Stocking Stuffer Holiday Walk/Run in Bowness | Sunday | 9:30-10:30am rolling start

A fun 5km-ish Christmas kick off event where you collect items along the route for your stockings. Upon completion everyone will receive a Christmas medal (that also doubles as a Christmas ornament), a donut from Hoopla Donuts, and a hot apple cider.

Head to the Acadia Recreation Centre for Calgary's largest video game market with more than 60 vendor tables of art and video games.

There won’t be a dry eye in the house for this game as the Gaudreau family will be flown in to be part of an evening honouring Johnny Gaudreau for the first time since he was killed by a drunk driver.
