⚾️ Okotoks Dawgs season opener: The 2024 Dawgs season is just around the corner and fans have a lot to look forward to, including stadium upgrades and a potential three-peat champion season. May 24 at Okotoks Seaman Stadium.

🎪 Royal Canadian Circus: From acrobatics, death-defying acts, and motorcycle shows, the Royal Canadian International Circus is bringing its tour to Alberta. May 24-June 2 at CrossIron Mills.

🐕️ Dog Jog for the Humane Society: We’re excited about this four-legged event that’s always a good time for a good cause. Don’t forget to register! June 1 at North Glenmore Park.

🌮 Calgary Taco Week: When you don’t want taco Tuesday and margarita madness to end, you just find yourself enjoying taco week. May 31-June 9 at participating eateries.

Just announced

🎤 Jerry Seinfeld: The comic will be coming to the city for two back-to-back shows this November at the Jubilee as part of his tour.

Calaway Park opens for its 2024 season on Saturday and the kids surely couldn’t be more excited to get back into those amusement park seats.

Saturday and Sunday | 9am-5pm | Granary Road

What’s better than a weekend at Granary Road? Well, its spring market of course! Check out various workshops while you’re there.

Saturday and Sunday | Sat 4-10pm, Sun 10am-4pm | Stampede Park Big Four

Celebrate Canada’s national cocktail at this two-day sampling event with more than 40 Caesars, local food, craft beer, Caesar merch and goods.

Calgary Reads Big Book Sale | Tuesday-Monday | Various times  

Head to the Calgary Curling Club this week to discover more than 175,000 gently used books of every genre imaginable – and help more children experience the life-changing joy of reading.

Pumphouse Theatre presents Moon Over Buffalo | Tuesday-Saturday | Various times  

Written by Ken Ludwig and directed by Jeremy MacKenzie, the Workshop Theatre proudly presents the play titled, Moon Over Buffalo.  [Starting at $26]

This free event taking place at the James Chaput Centre for Educational Research, features keynote speaker Dr. Jean Clinton who wrote the book titled, “Love Builds Brains” which explores the best ways to support young learners and the value of parent-child relationships. [Free with registration]

Top Drop 2024 | Friday | 7-9pm  

The annual grand wine tasting event returns to Calgary, featuring dozens of international wines and the stories behind the bottle. [$153]

The Cardel Theatre is excited to present the hilarious comedy show "Sahi Gall Aa" by Comic Singh in an evening of laughter and good vibes. [Starting at $34]

This rendition of a Shakespeare classic is filled with mischievous fairies, bumbling actors, and star-crossed lovers, in a play that weaves together love, mistaken identities, and hilarious misunderstandings. Runs until June 1. [$35 per person]

Late Night Laughs Improv | Friday | 9:30-10:30pm  

Join The Kinkonauts for a late-night high-octane comedy show where performers use suggestions from the audience to improvise scenes full of hilarity. [$12]

Sled Island Rock Lotto | Friday | 9pm  

Sled Island is excited to kick off the performing season with Palomino Smokehouse and Social Club to present 25 musicians who will draw names from a hat and create new material in less than 10 hours. [$12]

Afro Bashment | Saturday | 9pm  

This annual event hosted by Africanzo is taking place at Dreamers Night Club and features the musical genius of performers like DJ DOM, DEEMAKS and more. [Early bird tickets $18]

Día del Niño Children’s Festival | Saturday | 10am-6pm 

Casa Mexico at cSpace invites all families to participate in their Children’s Day Festival where attendees can enjoy a movie, piñata workshop, face painting, and more. [Pay what you can]
