🎸 NMC Presents Heartstrings & Honky Tonks: On April 3, dust off your boots for a legendary salute to the beloved magic of country music with intimate songwriters’ rounds featuring Clayton Bellamy, Dan Davidson, George Fox, Patricia Conroy, and Alex Hughes.

🎞️ The 21st Calgary Underground Film Festival: Taking place April 18-28, this massive 11-day festival is set to bring a variety of filmmakers to the city while highlighting a slate of edgy and thought-provoking films.

🍷 Made with Love Banff Food and Cocktail Festival: After a highly successful inaugural event in 2023, this popular food and drink event is returning to Banff for an even bigger and better celebration from April 19 to May 4. Better book your hotels soon!

🐋 National Geographic Film Concert: Filmed over three years across 24 global locations, Secrets of the Whales submerges audiences deep into the lives of five different whale families: orcas, humpbacks, belugas, narwhals, and sperm whales in an awe-inspiring live film documentary in concert at Jack Singer Concert Hall from April 21-24.

💥 The Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo: From April 25-28, geek out at this annual celebration of all things pop culture, including comics, sci-fi, gaming, fantasy, horror and more, held each year in Calgary at Stampede Park.

😆 Jann & Rick Mercer Hitting The Road Together: Jann Arden and Rick Mercer are hitting the road together this spring for a nationwide Will They or Won’t They Tour for an evening of laughter and stories in a freewheeling, unscripted, and unrestrained discussion on May 22.

Shen Yun is a brilliant artistic revival and celebration of China’s rich cultural heritage. Each performance consists of about 20 pieces, quickly moving from one legend, region, or dynasty to the next. From March 29 to 31 at the Jubilee.

Every decade has certain trends that develop and no other decade has the sheer explosion of pop culture like the ’80s. The Billboard charts of the 1980s featured the biggest variety of music styles and genres, such as Madonna, Tina Turner, Def Leppard, and more.

Sunday | 12pm | Grey Eagle Casino and Resort

Gather with family and friends for an Easter-themed buffet featuring dishes like Easter salad, stuffed pork loin, eggs benedict, a fondue station and so much more. Child and senior pricing is available. [Standard admission $55]

Stitch by Stitch with Lisa | Wednesday | Various times available

Designed for ages 8+, this 90-minute Easter-themed workshop teaches participants the basics of embroidery and various stitching techniques followed by making a unique piece to take home. [$44]

Tech Thursdays at the Pioneer | Thursday | 4:30-7pm

Kin Fest | Thursday | 7:30-11:30pm

Showcasing live performances from Indigenous artists across Treaty 7, this one-night-only event is an electrifying exhibit of Indigenous talent and creativity featuring music, dancing, and so much more. [$18]

Through an assemblage of images, colours and scents, Harvey Nichol and Michaela Bridgemohan present a profound exhibit titled, Through this window is a home, which explores the history of invisible labour and culture erasure by examining the Peacock Chair and Pilot Astronauts legacy. [Free]

A project in the making since last year, Happy Go Lucky Party Casino and EnVie are thrilled to bring Travis Scott live in concert at the Scotiabank Saddledome. [$75]

Bhad Bunnies Party | Friday | 10pm

This Easter long weekend special is back for the second edition of Bhad Bunnies, where guests can enjoy drinks at the Flame Lounge alongside curated beats by DJ Megs from Toronto. [$12]
