🥕 Rhubarb Fest: Bring the family down for free fun at the Rhubarb Fest, featuring live music, a vendors market, kids activities, food, drinks, and rhubarb-themed contests such as who will have the "longest stalk", best baking, or best drink? June 15 at 11 Sackville Drive SW.

😱 Calgary Horror Con: Canada’s biggest horror convention is back with special guests, film screenings, photo ops, panels, and more. June 15-16 at DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North.

🦪 Oysterfest: Rodney's Oyster House is back at it again with their 6th Annual Oyster Festival, with proceeds going towards The Mustard Seed. June 23 at Rodney’s Oyster House.

📚️ Reading in the Wild: It’s time to bring those books off the shelves and into the sunshine because Wordfest and Calgary Public Library presents Reading in the Wild, Calgary’s first annual outdoor read-a-thon. June 25 at Memorial Park.

🌭 Odd Sausage: A new pop-up just opened in Kensington in front of the Plaza Theatre, so before you enjoy the movie or when you’re just in the area, check out these handcrafted, artisanal sausages (and sides, too!).

There are a variety of comedians performing every night around the city at 11 different venues. The best part is, there are six headliners each night, so there’s no shortage of laughs.

Friday | 5-10pm | Inglewood

The Inglewood Night Market is a modern market with locally sourced and handmade vendors selling diverse goods; from handmade crafts to vintage clothing, antiques and collectibles, artisan eats, food trucks and more.

Saturday | 10am-4pm | Acadia Recreation Complex

Peruse 25,000 square feet of pre-loved treasures from household items, tools, vintage brand name clothing, DVDs, vinyl, vintage cameras, camping stuff, antiques, and more with 200 table spaces and over 100 vendors.

Enjoy Alberta brewed pale ale at Ol Beautiful Brewing Company while making new friends at the YYC Queer Innovation Pride Month meetup where innovators, creators, artists, and entrepreneurs are invited to network and collaborate in an inclusive and safe space. [Free to attend]

Indulge in this unique opportunity to tour the historic Lougheed House which includes a viewing of short films, refreshments and interactive sessions to learn how music can enhance general wellness. [$18]

This event aims to connect local youth organizations, youth themselves, and their families in a meaningful way where the community can collaborate to provide opportunities for success and collaboration. [By donation]

Calgary Donut Bike Tour | Friday | 5-8pm

Celebrate International Donut Day by embarking on a delicious and exciting adventure at the second annual Donut Bike Tour where attendees can enjoy three delightful donuts and drinks along with VIP behind the scenes experiences at each local bakery. [$50]

Book Folding Workshop | Friday | 6-8pm

Ignite! Festival for Emerging Artists | Friday-Monday | Various times

Every June, Sage Theatre presents the IGNITE! Festival of Emerging Artists—a multi-disciplinary, four-day festival of emerging art and artists at the Pumphouse Theatre.

Enjoy a fun-filled day of delicious food, great music and summer vibes while indulging in BBQ favourites at the Royal Vista Place NW where BBQ enthusiasts alike can connect and savour the flavours of summer. [$23]

YYC Italian Wine Fest  | Saturday | 1:30-4:30pm

This event features 25 different Italian wines which have been curated to provide a well rounded tasting and tickets include unlimited Italian antipasto buffet and 15 wine tasting tickets. [$72]

Women's Self Defence Seminar | Sunday | 9:30am-12:30pm

This empowering and informative event aims to teach women essential self-defence techniques for protection in a variety of situations and is open to all ages and skill levels. [$55] 

Join Way Out West Fest at the Dean House for their sixth annual auction and an exceptional afternoon featuring live music, art, food and stunning views with a Western theme. [$64] 

Calgary Creative Experience | Sunday | 6:30-9:30pm

This picture perfect event taking place at McMahon Stadium is an opportunity to connect with the Calgary creative community while capturing stunning images and videos within the stadium where sets and models have been designated to make creative art. [$18]  

Join the Paramita Centre at North Glenmore Park for a special evening with international Buddhist teacher and monk, Tenzin Gawa as he makes his way across Canada to share his experience within Buddhist teaching. [$18] 

Marilyn Monroe Paint Night | Monday | 8-10pm

Get creative with Alexandre at Paint Escape where attendees will be guided through the process of painting the iconic Marilyn Monroe image while learning different techniques and tricks. [$39] 

The Central Library invites Calgarians to experience the richly written and illustrated tour guide that interweaves science with spectacular photos and beautiful art to showcase the prairie landscape of Alberta and Saskatchewan. [Free]

Beautiful: The Carole King Story | Until June 23 | Stage West

The inspiring and beautiful true story of Carole King’s journey from teenage songwriter to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Come for the buffet, stay for the show!

Polar Bear Breakfast | Until August 25 | Calgary Zoo
