🎸 Calgary Folk Music Festival: The Calgary Folk Music 45th anniversary kicks off, featuring headlining performances by The Roots, KT Tunstall, Cowboy Junkies, Ben Howland, so many more. July 25–28 on Prince's Island Park.
🎆 GlobalFest Fireworks and Culture Festival: It’s never too early to mark it on your calendars and plan ahead for this popular annual fireworks festival. Aug 15-24 at Elliston Park.

The Grand is proud to host the 26th annual Queer Art and Film Festival which highlights 15 artists, 33 short films, seven feature films, live music, and more over the course of four days.
Saturday | 5pm | McMahon Stadium
Catch a home game as the Calgary Stampeders host a regular season game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for a Saturday night lights game.
Monday | Gates 10am, Races 12pm | Millarville
Thoroughbred, Ladies’ Side-saddle, Stock Horse Races as well as three-legged, foot, and sack races for children. Enjoy this chance to dress up elegantly and watch some horses on Canada Day.
Video Game Collectors Show | Wednesday | 10am-4pm
Calgary’s largest video game event is back at the Acadia Recreation Complex with over 60 vendors to explore. Partial proceeds from admission will be donated to Skipping Stone. [$5]
Book Launch: Around The Kitchen Table | Wednesday | 7-9pm
Shelf Life Books is eager to celebrate the accomplishments of Metis women with the book launch of Around The Kitchen Table that utilized community-based research to honour the interests, goals, and needs of Indigenous youth through a collection of stories. [Free to attend]
5-Course French Winemaker's Dinner | Thursday | 6-9pm

Day One: Sound Atlas Festival | Thursday | 7pm

Springboard Performance: The GoldenCrust Family | Friday-Saturday | Various times
Get lost in the quirky, colourful world of Grace and Kevin, the odd-couple with whimsy, in a live performance of a story that is filled with special effects, puppetry, and an abundance of comedy and taking place at the containR Art Park and presented by containR Fest and Green Fools Theatre. [$13]
Luis Tovar Quartet | Friday | 10pm-1am
