🍽️ Taste of Calgary: We hope you’re hungry because one of our favourite food events is back, so get ready to sample different food and drinks while also listening to live music and shop at local market vendors. Aug 1 to 5 at LOT 6 - 311 8 Street SW.

🎆 GlobalFest Fireworks and Culture Festival: The popular cultural event on your calendars for global fireworks, food, and culture. Aug 15-24 at Elliston Park.

🎻  NMC: Elisapie: Enjoy a special concert in the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation where Inuk artist and activist Elisapie, will entertain and educate audiences with her Northern Arctic Inuit vibes. Sept 30 at the National Music Centre.

🔭 Beakerhead at Spark: This year, attendees can enjoy a daytime experience suited for families or explore after dark with two premium night events. Participants can expect inspired programming by creative artists with delectable food and beverage options while being dazzled with fire instalments. Sept 20-24 at the Telus Spark Science Centre.

🤣 Comedian Jerry Seinfeld: The comic brings his standup tour to Calgary with two shows on the docket as part of the 25th anniversary of the Owen Hart Foundation. Nov 16 at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium.

🥗 Genesis Centre Food Truck Frenzy | Wednesday | Genesis Centre

There is something for every appetite at this food truck frenzy event where delicious gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and halal items are available accompanied by live entertainment and good vibes. Free to attend but bring money to purchase all of that delicious food truck fare.

🎸 Calgary Folk Music Festival | Thursday-Sunday | Prince’s Island Park

The Calgary Folk Music Fest is bringing headlining performances by The Roots, KT Tunstall, Cowboy Junkies, and Ben Howland but this four-day event is more than that. With several stages, food trucks, vendors, and beer gardens, there’s a reason this event is a longtime city favourite.

🌻 Inglewood Sunfest  | Saturday | 11am-7pm | Inglewood

The sunniest festival is back to delight Calgarians with over 200 artisan craft vendors and community organizations ready to engage and entertain with live performances, food trucks and so much more. [Free]

Latte Art & Milk Steaming Workshop | Wednesday | 7:30-9pm

Guided by expert instruction from Aggüdo's very own barista Matt, this beginner-friendly workshop focuses on the basics of making the perfect latte with the perfect temperature and finished with an artistically poured tulip, heart or rosetta. [Starting at $44]

Food Art Workshop | Thursday | 6:30-8:30pm

Good Neighbour and LOUD Art Society have paired up to create a delicious learning experience where attendees will learn and explore precise techniques to create natural paints out of ingredients like bitter coffee and sweet berries to design their own delectable painting. [$7]

2024 Historic Calgary Week | Starts Friday | Various times

This 11-day event is celebrating Calgarians who add to the vibrancy of the city with more than 80 different activities for attendees to enjoy. Starts July 26 at various locations.

This community networking event at Memorial Park Library connects mental health professionals and advocates with individuals who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges to provide resources and greater access to support systems in a way that is inviting, accepting, and educational. [Starting at $23]

Water Lantern Festival | Friday | 6:30-10:30pm 

Taking place at the picturesque Waterfront Park, this festival provides an opportunity to participate in a community building event filled with happiness, hope, and light where attendees are provided with eco-friendly materials to create and launch their own floating lantern. [Starting at $61]

Coming to The Theatre stage for one night only, Wes Barker is a unique performer who dazzles audiences with a humourous mixture of gags, impossible stunts, magic, and classic comedy that earned him the winning spot on the TV show Penn & Teller: Fool Us. [$39]

Experience Heritage Park in a brand new way. This family-friendly Wild West showdown kicks off with a cowboy buffet before a spectacular Western gunfight erupts on Main Street.

Ruff Mud Ninja Dog | Saturday and Sunday | Various time slots

This two-day event taking place at Fort Calgary features an innovative obstacle course that was built for the active canine to practise their skills, build stamina, and increase mental stimulation through a variety of interactive challenges. [$70]

Central Memorial Park is excited to present part one of Grassifield Cultural Festival where multiculturalism is celebrated through a variety of captivating traditional performances and delectable authentic cuisine at this outdoor cultural extravaganza. [Free to attend]

Beginner's Photography Class | Saturday | 10am-1:30pm

The Calgary Photography Group invites beginner photography explorers to bring their own camera and learn the basics about shutter speed, aperture, and more while honing in on existing skills and practising new techniques with professional guidance. [$105]

Métis Beaded Earring Workshop | Sunday | 10am-5pm

Designed for all skill levels and ages 16+, this hands-on experience taking place at the Confluence Historic Site is taught by Métis creator Janis Laboucane and aims to highlight the long-standing significance of traditional beading techniques where participants will make their own strawberry design earrings to keep. The wrestling smackdown of the summer complete with commentators, a dunk tank, and exclusive merch is happening at containR Art Park where seven wrestlers will battle it out for the ultimate prize of an all-inclusive trip and bragging rights. [$17]

Latin Patio Fiesta | Sunday | 2:30-6:30pm

The hottest matinee party is happening at the Rec Room featuring the rhythmic style of local artist, DJ Henry who will entertain all ages with the musical vibes of salsa, reggaeton and more while attendees explore the variety of games and entertainment. [Free admission]

Kids Papier-mâché Workshop | Sunday | 3-4:30pm

Supported by TD and hosted by Contemporary Calgary Arts Society, this engaging workshop designed for kids ages 5-12 demonstrates the concept of the seen and unseen through the imaginative process of making a papier-mâché moon and the mysterious wonders of Marcel Dzama’s fantasy world in Ghost of Canoe Lake. This barnyard bash is ideal for both the bingo enthusiast and the country fanatic as it combines the best of both worlds in a first-come, first-served bingo night happening at The Banquet University District where participants will compete for the top score and fun giveaways. [Free to attend]
