🐶 Village dog-friendly ice cream launch: This popular local ice cream spot is launching Calgary’s first-ever dog-friendly ice cream pint at its official launch party (dogs welcome!) on July 20 at Village Victoria Park.

📱 2024 Historic Calgary Week: This 11-day event is celebrating Calgarians who add to the vibrancy of the city with more than 80 different activities for attendees to enjoy. Starts July 26 at various locations.

🎸 Calgary Folk Music Festival: The Calgary Folk Music Fest is just around the corner with headlining performances by The Roots, KT Tunstall, Cowboy Junkies, and Ben Howland on the docket. July 25–28 on Prince's Island Park.

🍽️ Taste of Calgary: We hope you’re hungry because one of our favourite food events is back, so get ready to sample different food and drinks while also listening to live music and shop at local market vendors. Aug 1 to 5 at LOT 6 - 311 8 Street SW.

🎆 GlobalFest Fireworks and Culture Festival: The popular cultural event on your calendars for global fireworks, food, and culture. Aug 15-24 at Elliston Park.

📽️ Calgary International Film Festival: Calgary’s biggest film fest is about to release its early bird tickets for its fall event on July 18 so snag yours to get some extra added benefits.

🎸 Fiestaval 2024 | Thursday-Saturday | Olympic Plaza

The biggest summer fiesta returns to Calgary Olympic Plaza for three days to entertain audiences with live musical performances, food vendors, a beer garden, and so much more to celebrate and acknowledge the vibrancy of Latino culture. [Free to attend]

🍦 YYC Ice Cream Fest | Friday-Aug 5 | Various locations 

Participating cafés, restaurants, and creameries compete for the coveted titles of YYC’s Best Scoop, Best Non-Dairy Scoop, and special Golden Scoop award. The best part is, $1-$3 from every item sold supports Calgary Meals on Wheels.

🌲 Christmas in July Night Market | Friday | 4-9pm | Canyon Meadows Community

Get into the holiday spirit early with this Christmas in July Night Market, featuring festive food and shopping under the summer stars. Free to attend.

Henry Sir Live at The Laugh Shop | Wednesday-Saturday | Various times

Catch Canadian basketball player turned comedian, Henry Sir on the Laugh Shop stage where he will dazzle the audience with his sarcasm, outrageous enthusiasm and vibrant energy. [Starting at $15]

Storybook Theatre is excited to present a rendition of Finding Nemo for kids at the Beddington Theatre Arts Centre in their final performance of this show. [$11]

The Village Laugh Session | Thursday | 8-10pm

Village Brewery is excited to present Connor Christmas as the host for their upcoming stand-up comedy event featuring guest comedians like Erin Wood and Chris Wipe with drink and food specials like $5 pints and tacos. [$17]

The Central Library is excited to host a three-hour robotics workshop for kids aged 12+ where they will have an opportunity to meet the small humanoid robot, JD and learn the basics of programming while gaining a better understanding of AI and technology, where all proceeds will be donated to Kids Cancer Care. [$28]

Reading and Bloop Workshop | Friday | 1:30-3pm

Using artistic expression, storytelling, and bloop making, this workshop hosted by Cherry Tree Lane Toys and facilitated by Carla is designed for kids of all ages and aims to engage and educate children about the experience of processing emotions like sadness using constructive methods. Tuscan Long Table Dinner | Friday | 6-9pm

Join Lina’s Market Hall for an Italian culinary experience where attendees can indulge in a four-course meal family-style featuring antipasto, pasta, roasted chicken breast, dessert and so much more. [$90]

Sunshine & Moonshine Party | Saturday | 2pm-1am

Rave Mama and Skunkworks Distillery are thrilled to present an 11-hour experience where music, networking and live painting performances will keep audiences engaged while exploring a curated selection of local vendors at this day to night party. [$22]

RevUp Calgary 2024 | Saturday | 5-10pm

The hottest aftermarket car show is happening at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre where attendees can explore the newest trends in automotive tuning and connect with companies like SpeedfactorYYC, VLF Wheels Canada, and so many more. [Starting at $16]

Indigenous Artist Recognition | Saturday | 9pm-2:30am

Highlighting the creative talents of seven Indigenous artists, this event celebrates the brilliance and vibrancy of creative expression within the Indigenous culture and will feature the musical rhythms of DJ GoodMedicine. [$22]

This interactive workshop is sponsored by TD and hosted by Contemporary Calgary with the intention of encouraging children aged 5-12 to explore music in a variety of ways using body movement, spatial awareness, and a deep appreciation for the expressive nature of music. [Free with registration]

Support the Kids Cancer Care Charity at The Mash on 17th Ave by playing musical bingo and bidding on the variety of items available in their silent auction where the proceeds go towards children battling cancer. [$23]

Youth Spanish Summer Camp | Monday-Friday | 9am

Taking place at the Casa Mexico cSPACE and designed for ages 11-15, this five-day summer camp aims to support the learning and practice of Spanish in a casual way that is fun and practical for everyday use. [$490]

The Jam Social Networking for Ages 18-29 | Monday-Friday | 7:15-9:15pm

This interactive networking event taking place at Rio Bar & Grill aims to connect individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 in a way that is creative, fun, and unique by utilizing an app that provides opportunities for spontaneous connection. [Free to attend]
