💃 Arts Commons Presents Circa Humans 2.0: All the way from Australia, this contemporary circus phenomenon is a jaw-dropping display of physical strength, agility and artistry performed to live music in the Jack Singer Concert Hall on Feb 13.

🕯️ International candlelight concert series: This live, multi-sensory musical experience promises an unforgettable evening with romantic jazz soundtracks featuring Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and more kicking off on Feb 14.

📽️ Screening of Oscar®-Nominated shorts by Calgary International Film Festival: From Feb 16-18 at Globe Cinema, including The Last Repair Shop, which had its international premiere at CIFF and won the Best Documentary Short Film Award.

🎸 Family Day at National Music Centre: The National Music Centre is hosting a free family fun event and The Buckleys concert on Feb 19 in honour of Family Day.

🎭 Hairspray: Tickets are now on sale for the popular Broadway musical Hairspray coming to Calgary for a week on March 14 at the Jubilee.

Catch Calgary’s International Festival of the Arts as it comes to a close this weekend after bringing more than two dozen artists from across the Globe (and here!) to a variety of venues around the city.

Friday | Doors at 8pm | Ironwood

Enjoy reggae music and culture all night in celebration of Black History Month with live music from some of the most talented reggae musicians in Alberta. 

Tuesday | 7-9pm | Baba’s Art Haus

Calling all artists, crafters, decoupage queens and up-cyclers, Baba’s Art Haus created an event aimed to make use of supplies that are sitting unused by trading them for materials that you could use while meeting other inspiring artists over tea and coffee.   

Soil Safari at Highfield Farm | Wednesday | 5-9pm

Highfield Farm is calling all dreamers and doers for their energy to make dreams a reality. Join a community of passionate individuals for an evening of soup and creativity. [Free]

Overcome Overwhelm Event | Wednesday | 7-9pm

Moment Factory's Mirror Mirror | Opening on Feb 4 | CF Chinook Centre

Opening on Feb 2, this innovative sensory exploration takes viewers into a world that blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination with nine immersive art installations.

Watch as Stage West recreates music history from The Beatles and The Bee Gees to the New Kids on the Block, *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys.

Hygge Hut on River Walk | Until March | East Village

The Hygge Hut is a contemporary, Scandinavian-style space inspired by the Danish idea of Hygge, which means a special kind of well-being. It’s a cozy, easy togetherness enhanced by the glow of a fire pit, soft lighting, a warm drink and good company.

The Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk | Until March 15 | Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

Since their arrival in 2012, the penguins have become a visitor favourite and once again Calgarians are invited to walk with the king penguins daily at 10:30am, depending on weather.

WinSport Servus Tube Park | Until March 17 | WinSport (Canada Olympic Park)

The perfect activity to enjoy with family and friends as you spend a day at WinSport’s Tube Park, which is one of the fastest of its kind in Western Canada.
