Happy Tuesday, friends. Did you survive the cold snap? Good, cause here comes the snow again! It might be cold and snowy out there but there are still ways to keep you busy this week as the winter weather continues.

📽️ The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour: This exhilarating film fest comes to Calgary to treat audiences an exploration of stunning locations, the wildest waters, and the highest peaks. At U of C Feb 1-4 and Mount Royal University from Feb. 15-18.
🎨 Mirror Mirror by Moment Factory: Coming to CF Chinook Centre starting Feb 2, this new indoor experience combines scenography, light, words, original music, and interactivity to create a surreal and sensory playground of immersive art.
♯ Donizetti’s Elixir of Love: Gaetano Donizetti’s classic returns to Calgary Opera for the first time in 30 years with four performances at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium February 3, 4, 7, and 9.
🧑🎤 Randy Bachman: Legendary Canadian rocker Randy Bachman is returning to the National Music Centre theatre at Studio Bell on Feb 9, this time with his band.
🕯️International candlelight concert series: This live, multi-sensory musical experience promises an unforgettable evening with romantic Jazz soundtracks featuring Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé and more kicking off on Feb. 14.
🎭 Hairspray: Tickets are now on sale for the popular Broadway musical Hairspray coming to Calgary for a week on March 14 at the Jubilee.

Outdoor Ice Skating | All winter | Olympic Plaza
The plaza was built in 1988 for the Olympic Winter Games and has one of the few refrigerated outdoor ice surfaces in the city where families can enjoy some skating 6am to 11pm.
Hygge Hut on River Walk | Until March | East Village
The Hygge Hut is a big warm East Village hug in the middle of a long, cold Calgary winter. The contemporary, Scandinavian-style space is inspired by the Danish idea of Hygge, which means a special kind of well-being. It’s a cozy, easy togetherness enhanced by the glow of a firepit, soft lighting, a warm drink and good company.
The Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk | Until March 15 | Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo
Since their arrival in 2012, the penguins have become a visitor favourite and once again Calgarians are invited to walk with the king penguins daily at 10:30am, depending on weather.
