💰 Heritage Park hiring fair: On March 2, from 10am-3pm, job seekers are invited to Gasoline Alley Museum to apply for 500 jobs. Interviews may take place on the spot, so candidates are encouraged to come prepared.

🍷 Winefest 2024: The largest wine festival in Alberta is less than one month away from welcoming Calgarians to explore the world of wine on March 1 and 2 at the BMO Centre - Stampede Park.

🏀 Harlem Globetrotters: It’s like basketball on steroids. Catch the world’s favourite basketball team on March 9 at the Dome.

🎭 Hairspray: If you haven’t got your tickets yet you’re going to want to before this classic Broadway musical Hairspray sells out. Check it out at the Jubilee the week of March 14.

📽️ The 21st Calgary Underground Film Festival: Taking place April 18-28, this massive 11-day festival is set to bring a variety of filmmakers to the city while highlighting a slate of edgy and thought-provoking films.

Returning to the stage, “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the PTSD-List” provides insight into her celebration of resilience, humour, and the power of laughter to heal in her new show.

Friday | 8pm | Jack Singer

Grammy-nominated comedian, television host, best-selling author, and advocate Chelsea Handler, is bringing her highly-acclaimed Little Big Bitch Tour to Calgary so get your tickets before the big day.

Sunday | 2-4pm | Fort Calgary

Every ticket to the movie at the park includes popcorn and admission to the interpretive centre. Additional snacks and beverages will be available for purchase. A great family event!

Dinner and a Movie: Grease | Tuesday | 5:30-8:30pm  

Enjoy a gourmet three-course dinner followed by a viewing of Grease surrounded by antique vehicles while snacking on popcorn and a drink at Heritage Park. [$49

Paint to Learn: Alcohol Ink  | Wednesday | 6:30-9pm

Wit or Wizardry: Comedy Magic Cabaret | Wednesday | 7:30pm   

Join this month’s menagerie of magic with Ryan Pilling at Theatre 1308 to enjoy a performance of Wit or Wizardry in this unique experience. [$15+]

At Shelf Life Books, Judith Pond is launching her debut novel Signs of No after several successful poetry publications and is eager to connect with her audience. [Free to attend]

For BonnyBoom’s first art show, they are featuring Declan O’Reilly, Brian Jensen, and Maksym Isenko and invite Calgarians to view the showcase where a cash bar is available and some of the art is for sale. [Free]

In this 13th edition of Locked Library, the Central Library invites teams to finish a two-hour cookbook-themed evening of puzzle-solving and fun. Recommended for ages 12+. [$40]

Noise Exchange: Vinyl Pop-up  | Saturday | 12-5pm

Whether a seasoned wax chaser or someone who just discovered the joy of analog music, The Establishment Brewing Co. invites vinyl enthusiasts to dig into their old records and bring some to trade while having a drink and connecting with other music lovers. [Free to attend]

UNGANISHA: Explore. Connect. Dance. | Saturday | 2pm and 7pm

Join Contemporary Calgary for UNGANISHA; a mesmerizing 45-minute documentary film that embarks on a rhythmic journey through nine diverse dance forms shaped by the African diaspora. [$28

Hosted by Citizen Rage and Quit It, Modern Love YYC invites music lovers to enjoy an evening of performance for a good cause. [$20

Paws in the Park | Sunday | 2-4pm

Join Chantel, a service dog expert, at Sue Higgins Park for a delightful winter gathering where pups and owners have an opportunity to connect and play. [Free

Solo Jazz Workshop | Sunday | 6-7:30pm

In this workshop that’s suitable for all experience levels, Joanna (Joey) Foster will teach the class some fundamental jazz steps, a short routine and other tricks to add some serious flair to classic dance moves. [$25]

The Military Museum is hosting an exhibition in its atrium to honour Black Canadian soldiers until Feb 29. The exhibition aims to showcase the valuable role and sacrifices made by Black Canadian soldiers from the First World War to the present day.

Hygge Hut on River Walk | Until March | East Village

The Hygge Hut is a contemporary, Scandinavian-style space inspired by the Danish idea of Hygge, which means a special kind of well-being. It’s a cozy, easy togetherness enhanced by the glow of a fire pit, soft lighting, a warm drink and good company.

Exposure Photography Festival. Exposure | Until March 3 | Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

This annual photography event brings thoughtfully curated exhibitions that showcase internationally renowned practitioners alongside emerging and established talent from Alberta at various Calgary venues.

The Calgary Zoo Penguin Walk | Until March 15 | Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

Since they arrived in 2012, the penguins have become a visitor favourite and once again Calgarians are invited to walk with the king penguins daily at 10:30am, depending on the weather.

WinSport Servus Tube Park | Until March 17 | WinSport (Canada Olympic Park)

It is the perfect activity to enjoy with family and friends as you spend a day at WinSport’s Tube Park, which is one of the fastest of its kind in Western Canada.

Get ready to be transported back to summer with a show that celebrates the iconic Beach Boys and their timeless sound. Did we mention the three-course dinner and all-night improv entertainment?
