🪕 Blue Jay Sessions: Winter Edition: It’s back for the first time in 2025 with an amazing lineup of Canadian singer-songwriters from Alberta and BC. Feb 14 and 15 events at The Prairie Emporium.

🎸 Block Heater: The Calgary Folk Music Festival’s Block Heater transports 18 genre-spanning artists from four countries, including our own Albertan backyard, to Calgary to ignite discovery, joy, and dancing. Feb 14-15 at various locations.

🎥 CIFF presents Oscar-nominated Short Films: The 2025 Academy Awards Oscar-nominated films have been announced and several Calgary International Film Festival selections from the 2024 festival have earned 41 nominations in total. In celebration, CIFF will be screening three Oscar-nominated shorts packages over two weekends. Feb 14-16 and Feb 21-23 at Globe Cinema.

🎭️ TINA–The Tina Turner Musical: Broadway Across Canada’s next production brings the legend that is Tina back to life on stage in this celebration of triumph over adversity. March 18-23 at the Jubilee.

Focusing on local talent, this intimate show will be highlighting specific tattoo styles, including black and grey, blackwork, fineline, floral, realistic, and more. Enjoy contests, retail exhibits, and tattooing all weekend long.

Set in 1922 at Heritage Park’s charming Wainwright Hotel during the prohibition era, this three-act murder mystery will keep guests on the edge of their seats.

Football's annual Superbowl is an event in itself and there is no shortage of places to watch the big game with your friends and family this Sunday. Whether it’s a party, a bar, or your house, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on Sunday.

A Streetcar Named Desire | Wednesday until Feb 23 at various times | Theatre Calgary | $44 and up

The classic tale of Blanche DuBois, a former Southern belle, whose unexpected arrival in New Orleans sets in motion a dangerous power struggle between herself and her sister’s husband, Stanley. Tension builds as secrets about Stanley and Blanche are revealed and desires crescendo in this smouldering Pulitzer Prize-winning play.

Calgary Hitmen vs. the Prince Albert Raiders | Wednesday at 7pm | Scotiabank Saddledome | Various prices

The Hitmen host a mid-week game at this family-friendly hockey game that features some of the next generation of hockey. Grab your family and snap up some good seats!

Calgary Flames vs. Colorado Avalanche | Thursday at 7pm | Scotiabank Saddledome | Various prices

Catch some hometown hockey as the Flames host the Colorado Avalanche at the Dome. While you’re there, don’t forget to get yourself some snacks!

A Tribute to Bob Marley | Saturday at 7:30pm | Jack Singer Concert Hall | $30-$90

Celebrate reggae icon Bob Marley’s 80th birthday celebration as the Calgary Phil and Arts Commons present a brand-new orchestral experience through their Legends of Reggae series.

Mecha Mayhem 2025 | Friday-Sunday at various times | BMO Centre | Free entry

Started in 2023, Mecha Mayhem brings together more than 300 university, college, middle and high school students from around the world to compete in the world’s largest robotics competition. 

Seconds Collective Vintage Pop-Up Market | Friday-Sunday at various times | 205 8th Ave SW | Free to attend, items for purchase

This fun secondhand vintage thrift market pop-up is happening this weekend on Stephen Avenue and there’s some pretty cool stuff to check out with more than 25 vendors to peruse.

Kimmet Cup Hockey Tournament | Friday and Saturday at various times | Cochrane Miltford Pond and Spray Lake Sawmills | Free to attend

The Kimmett Cup is a 3-on-3 pond hockey tournament that raises money for a good cause while players get to enjoy some good ol’ hockey.

Cutie Market Sweethearts Edition | Saturday 1-6pm | BrentwoodLifestyle Centre | Free to attend, items for purchase

Enjoy the season of love at this cute market that is focusing on sweethearts this time. Get prizes for shopping and enjoy local vendors. 

Puppy Bowl XXI | Sunday | East Village Simmons Building 11:30am-2:30pm | Free 

Show up hungry because it's going to be tail-gating-waging fun in support of Alberta Animal Rescue Society. Enjoy tasty burgers and spicy sausage dogs from Alley Burger and CHARCUT, as well as brews from Village Brewery and bark-worthy treats, giveaways, and more.

In 2024, there were more than 125 vendors and 200 participating locations with more than 70,000 hot chocolates enjoyed and this year will be even better! Get out there and enjoy the tasty hot chocolates our city has to offer.

A unique expedition to discover the wonder of Egypt. Explore the Giza Plateau and the Great Pyramid of Giza as if you were really there.

The Penguin Walk | Until March 9 | Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo

Up to 14 penguins can participate in the daily march, including ‘Diana’, ‘Grace’, ‘Solomon’, ‘Cleopatra’, ‘Louis’, ‘Phillipe’, ‘Henri’, ‘Napoleon’, ‘George’, ‘Boudicca’, ‘Rupert’, ‘Arthur’, ‘Alfred’, and the juvenile king penguin ‘Augustus’.

The Big Bang Parody: A Musical | Until March 22 | Jubilations Dinner Theatre | Various times
