🍖 Brewery & the Beast: An all-inclusive feast of meat-focused dishes created by more than 50 of the city’s best restaurants with a top-notch roster of refreshing beverages to quench your thirst. Aug 25 at the Confluence Historic Site.

🌈 Calgary Pride Parade & Festival: Celebrate Calgary’s Pride at the end of the month and while there is a variety of events happening throughout the city, the official two-day festival takes over the city and paints it rainbow. Aug 31 to Sept 1 at Prince’s Island Park.

🏈 Labour Day Classic: It’s never too early to get pumped up for this classic rivalry as the Stamps host the Edmonton Elks in a game that is sure to sell out so grab your tickets and dust off those jerseys. Sept 2 at McMahon Stadium.

🛼 #YYCBlockParty: There’s a summer long party at Deerfoot City and there’s still plenty of fun to be had! Dust off your roller skates and let the good times roll at the fourth annual #YYCBlockParty, featuring a 100 foot outdoor roller rink amongst a giant street mural—and so much more.

Alberta’s most explosive festival kicks off this weekend and will end with a bang later this month. More than just fireworks, celebrate Spain, Brazil, Mexico, U.S.A, and Canada with food, culture, entertainment and… well, and fireworks.

Celebrate Hispanic food, culture, music, and more during this longtime festival’s 28th anniversary taking over Prince’s Island Park this weekend.

Saturday to Oct 19 | Jubilations Dinner Theatre | Various times

They’re baaaaaaaack! Sandy and Danny may have graduated, but there is still plenty of grease to go ‘round. Jubilations Dinner Theatre brings back the coolest era of rock ‘n’ roll with a new take on the cult classic. The show kicks off this weekend and runs into fall.

Alberta Open Farm Days | Tuesday and Wednesday | Check farm hours

This annual province-wide event aims to connect Albertans with agricultural initiatives by highlighting the benefits of agri-tourism and the importance of horticulture and husbandry in a two-day event where farms invite everyone to experience, learn, shop, and support local farmers and businesses. [Free]

This unique volunteer experience is an opportunity for people 18+ to participate in the hands-on building of a brand new playground at the Haultain Memorial School for the community and students to enjoy for decades to come and there are several spots left to fill to ensure the build goes smoothly. Rogers Charity Classic | Wednesday-Sunday | Check tee times

Check out some golf for a great cause at this popular annual golf tournament that has raised more than $112 million for over 270 children and youth charities across the province.

Back to school backpack drive | Wednesday | 1:30-2:30pm

The Genesis Centre is hosting a back-to-school backpack drive with ABC Foundation where contributions from the community are essential to ensuring that children within Calgary start the school year with the materials needed to succeed. [By donation]

Ori Tahiti Dance Class | Thursday | 6:30-7:30pm

Using movement and dance, the CommunityWise Resource Centre is hosting a Polynesian dance class designed for all experience levels where attendees can expect to learn more about the Ori Tahiti Dance. [$6]

CariFest | Friday-Sunday | Various times 

Step into the heart of Caribbean culture and celebration this weekend at this popular annual festival that blends the best of the culture, music, food, entertainment and more. 

Country Thunder Festival | Friday-Sunday | Various times 

Country superstar headliners Hardy, Dallas Smith, and Luke Combs take over Confluence Park (formerly Fort Calgary) this weekend and there are still tickets left so grab your cowboy hat and boots and head on down.

Carifest Night Market | Friday | 6-11pm

Shaw Millennium Park is hosting the first Carifest Night Market combining the best of the west with colourful Caribbean flare like soca music, stunning outfits, delicious authentic food and so much more to create an unforgettable evening. [$12]

The Wise Lass Amanda is hosting an educational plant walk around the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary where participants will learn about the ecology of this area through stories while exploring the world of edible plants while keeping environmental impacts to a minimum. [$44]

CROWN opening party | Friday | 9pm

The fresh entertainment company CROWN is excited to provide captivating events starting with their opening party happening at Dreamers Nightclub & Lounge where food, beverages, and live DJs are sure to keep the vibes going all night. [$12]

The Leslie Mannix Fundraiser for Pancreatic Cancer is back at the Richmond Tennis Court where attendees can participate in Kings Court format pickleball while sipping some bubbly and raising funds for a great cause at this annual event. [By donation]

Head to East Village’s Riverwalk this Sunday for all things mom related at this quaint outdoors family-friendly market.
